SKYLINES & STORYLINES

Follow the skyline around the gallery, listen to the sounds, look at the drawings, and discover the stories about the children who live in your city. Learn who they are on the YOU wall, where they live on the HOME wall, and places they love on the PLACE wall. Meet their friends on the FRIENDS wall and see into their future on the FUTURE wall.

The Skylines & Storylines Signal Box project

Skylines and Storylines is an interactive collaboration between Playable Streets and primary school-aged children. Children are asked to draw the places and people that are important to them in their neighbourhood. This exhibition explores and celebrates both the common experiences, and the uniqueness, of young people and the place they call home. Collected here, the drawings are connected by a single line of light which gathers under it, stories that reflect the experience of growing up connected to the people and places around us.

Skylines and Storylines continues to grow, as new works are added from workshops held during the exhibition dates. We have also brought Skylines outside onto Signal Boxes.

THE ONLINE GALLERY

Playable Streets has developed an online gallery that merges the images created by participants to create new collaborative images (click the image to go to the interactive gallery)
