Sounding Stories

Sounding Stories can be visited during Realm opening hours for an experience of sound and art like no other.

Dates: 18 November to 10 December
Venue: ArtSpace at Realm

Sounding Stories is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and by the Migrant Information Centre (Eastern Melbourne) funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

Created in collaboration with children from Maroondah’s Burmese communities.

Sounding Stories by Playable Streets (Glen Walton & Edwina Atkins), Paintings by Edwina Atkins, Composer Cayn Borthwick, Tech Wizardry by Pikkle Henning.

This project aims to engage with the community in a fun and innovative way by bringing children's imagination to life through the exploration of character, narrative, sound, and colour. A series of workshops will culminate in an interactive exhibition that invites the public to step inside these stories and discover the hidden worlds within.

Below are some images from the Sounding Stories workshops which will influence the Sounding Stories installation.
